Alphabetically all Diablo 2 build guides start with these mobile glass cannons. Fierce defenders of their jungle home, Amazons are legendary in both Sanctuary’s world and ours. Inspired by Greek mythology, these warrior women use superior tactics to turn foes into pincushions for their ammunition.
Masters of the bow and javelin, depending on skill/stat distribution, Amazons are great at killing hordes of enemies or boss fights. Competitive Diablo 2 Amazon builds can range from a rain of elemental destruction to a steady stream of nastiness for 1v1.
Chanting “You will never get this!” like Borat while dodging attacks, Amazons play a dangerous game of cat and mouse. They’re brutally effective in PvE and PvP: Amazons force difficult decisions on their foes and capitalize on mistakes.

Diablo 2 Amazon Builds

Bowazon: Namely an Amazon that prioritizes the “Bow and Crossbow” skill tree. The countless variations of the Bowazon are dependent on elemental type damage and items.

Javazon: Not to be mistaken for a D2 Spearazon build, Javazons are as versatile as Bowazons. There are D2 Javazon builds for everything: Offering a wide range from lightning to poison, PvM to PvP.
Their dominance with the Javelin showed, as some seasons of competitive ladder were Diablo 2 Javazons Skill Showcases.
Using Pierce and Penetrate, it’ll be shish-kebab demons not ‘arrowed’ ones for this femme fatale.

Fendazon: Amazons built around the skill, you guessed it, Fend. Fendazons like most Amazon builds are made for large groups of mobs. They kite a large group of them, get surrounded and quickly dispatch their foes. Reset your modem and check your ping before you start hardcore with this build!

Lightjab Amazon (or Thunderfury): Patience pays off in the end game for this build. Thunderfury is mixture of Lightning Fury and Jab, but requires a grip of powerful loot to finish. Expensive, shiny, and worth it.

Hybridazon: Popular iterations included a Passivazon meets a Javazon: the Hybridazon is a powerful PvM contender. Useful for Magic Find (MF), a Hybridazon uses the Amazon skill Valkyrie and an interchangeable elemental skill.

Less common Amazon Builds

Angelzon: Even more loot dependent than Thunderfury, an Angelzon uses items with specific identifiers: “Chance to Cast on Hit” or reflecting damage with “Attacker Receives” modifiers on everything. Using skills that have multi-attacks maximizes an Angelzon’s DPS: Fend, Guided Arrow, Jab, Lightning Fury, and Multiple Shot.

Fire and Ice Bowazon: A specific sub-build of the Bowazon specializing in Freezing or Immolation Arrow.

Passivezon: Equipped with a myriad of weapons, this build is focuses on the “Passive and Magic” skill tree. Using Decoy, Valkyrie, Penetrate, and Avoid/Evade solely, the Passivazon is free to choose either ranged or melee.

Plagazon: A variant of Thunderfury (Light Javazon), this build deals consistent damage with direct and damage over time (DoT).
